The Fam
Steven and Leslie are The Bridge Church's first foreign missionaries. They met at Williams Baptist University while pursuing degrees in Christian Ministry, with a focus in mission work. In 2020 the two moved to Wynne, AR, where they partnered with The Bridge Church. They have two daughters, Harlie and Hazel.
Steven
Steven was raised in Mammoth Spring and Wynne, AR. He gave his life to Christ at an early age. After high school he served 4 years in the USMC, including 1 tour to Afghanistan. He was called to ministry during that tour in 2013, then in 2014 he applied to Williams Baptist University. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Missions in 2019.
Leslie
Leslie was raised in Batesville, AR. She gave her life to Christ at an early age. After high school she studied nursing at UACCB, and later worked for a local veterinarian. She was married and had Harlie. In 2013, her then husband passed away leaving her the sole provider for their daughter. It was during this crisis that she felt called to ministry, as a missionary to Guatemala. She was accepted to Williams Baptist University in 2014 and in 2018 she earned her Bachelor's degree in Missions.
God has uniquely qualified and called us to reach this community.
The Lord began preparing our hearts, independent of one another in 2013. We knew then that he was equipping us to leave our home and culture.
Leslie first visited Guatemala in 2014, when the Lord broke her heart for the people of Guatemala.
Steven went to Guatemala in 2017, over our first wedding anniversary, and knew the Lord said this is your new home.
We both earned a Bachelor of Arts in Missions from Williams Baptist University.
Between May, 2023 and November, 2024 we met and trained under former IMB missionaries who served in Africa.
We have the support and wisdom of local pastors.
Between the two of us, we have unique experiences with domestic abuse, spousal loss, parental loss, natural disaster, loving the least, and seeing the Lord’s blessing and mercy through it all.
Why Raise Support?
Support raising is not primarily about finances—it is about inviting God’s people to participate together in His work.

Throughout Scripture, God advances His mission through His Church. Some are called to go. Others are called to send. Together, they share in the privilege, sacrifice, and joy of making Christ known among the nations.

As we prayerfully serve in Guatemala, we are not simply looking for donors. We are praying for partners—brothers and sisters who desire to participate in God’s work alongside us.

If God leads you to partner with us, we believe our relationship will be built around three shared commitments.

We Share in the Work
The work of the Gospel has always been a shared calling. While we may be the ones crossing cultures, learning languages, and serving on the field, we do not accomplish this ministry alone.

Your generosity enables us to devote ourselves to disciple-making, leadership development, pastoral care, and serving local churches. More importantly, your partnership reflects the biblical pattern of believers working together so that the Gospel might continue to spread.

We may have different roles, but we share the same mission.

We Share in Prayer
Prayer is not an addition to ministry—it is the foundation of it.
One of the greatest gifts our partners give is faithful prayer. As you pray with us, you join us in seeking God’s wisdom, provision, protection, and transforming work in the lives of those we serve.

In return, we also want to pray for you. Partnership is never one-sided. We desire to know your joys, burdens, and prayer requests so that we can encourage one another as members of Christ’s body.

Our hope is not merely to send updates, but to cultivate genuine fellowship centered on Christ and His mission.

We Share in Eternal Fruit
The Gospel bears fruit that will endure forever.

Scripture teaches that those who faithfully send and support Gospel work share in its blessings. Although each believer has a different role, we rejoice together as God builds His Kingdom.

Every disciple who grows in Christ, every leader equipped for ministry, every family strengthened, and every church encouraged becomes a reminder that God delights to accomplish His work through the partnership of His people.​​​
The harvest belongs to the Lord, and it is our privilege to labor together in it.
