OUR VALUES

The Bridge Church exists, like all bridges, not as a destination - but as an instrument to connect the lost and searching to Jesus.

CLARIFYING TRUTH

The instruction of the Lord is perfect, renewing one’s life; the testimony of the Lord is trustworthy, making the inexperienced wise. The precepts of the Lord are right, making the heart glad; the command of the Lord is radiant, making the eyes light up. The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever; the ordinances of the Lord are reliable and altogether righteous. They are more desirable than gold— than an abundance of pure gold; and sweeter than honey, which comes from the honeycomb. In addition, Your servant is warned by them; there is great reward in keeping them.

- David's Psalm to the LORD 19:7-11

We believe the Bible to be the true, trustworthy, and accurate Word of God. We will teach Jesus and follow Him no matter the cost.

EXPERIENCING JOY

A road will be there and a way; it will be called the Holy Way. The unclean will not travel on it, but it will be for the one who walks the path. Even the fool will not go astray. There will be no lion there, and no vicious beast will go up on it; they will not be found there. But the redeemed will walk on it, and the redeemed of the Lord will return and come to Zion with singing, crowned with unending joy. Joy and gladness will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee.

- Encouraging message from Isaiah 35: 8- 10

God wants us to experience His joy and live out each day sharing His joy with others.

PURSUING DIVERSITY

Before this faith came, we were confined under the law, imprisoned until the coming faith was revealed. The law, then, was our guardian until Christ, so that we could be justified by faith. But since that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, for you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ like a garment. There is no Jew or Greek, slave or free, male or female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, heirs according to the promise.

- Paul to the Galatians 3:23-29

Reaching others who are diverse in age, ethnicity, and culture is and was and always will be central to the Gospel going forward.

LOVING THE FATHERLESS

I will not leave you as orphans; I am coming to you. “In a little while the world will see Me no longer, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live too. In that day you will know that I am in My Father, you are in Me, and I am in you. The one who has My commands and keeps them is the one who loves Me. And the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father. I also will love him and will reveal Myself to him.”

- Jesus to his disciples, recorded by John 14:14-21

Jesus was passionate about caring for the fatherless and we are privileged to share in that passion and calling.

CONNECTING WITH THE UNINITIATED

So He told them this parable: “What man among you, who has 100 sheep and loses one of them, does not leave the 99 in the open field and go after the lost one until he finds it? When he has found it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders, and coming home, he calls his friends and neighbors together, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, because I have found my lost sheep!’ I tell you, in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over 99 righteous people who don’t need repentance.

- Jesus to the Pharisees, recorded by Luke 15

We are and will continue to be passionate about reaching people who have not yet heard or trusted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

EMBRACING MARGIN

Faith Without Works Is Dead

"What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?  So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead."

- James, Jesus' brother, encouraging fellow believers. James 2

We believe in allowing time in our lives each week for God to use us in planned and unplanned  opportunities.
